October 15,16,17 2024, The Tapaz Local Government Unit (LGU), through the Municipal Health Office (MHO) led by Dr. Chad Bryan Hilado, hosted a successful Orientation on Risk Community Engagement, Interpersonal communication and counseling and roles and function of bhws on immunization This training, a collaborative effort between the MLGU Health Promotion Unit, Relief International, and the Provincial Health Promotion Unit, was a testament to the power of partnership and the unwavering commitment to improving health outcomes in our community. The workshop, attended by 178 Barangay Health Workers from 58 different Barangays, aimed to promote a healthier future for everyone as they actively engaged in learning about risk communication, interpersonal communication and counseling, immunization program implementation, and their vital roles in promoting health.
Thank you for you heartfelt gratitude Dr. Chad Bryan Hilado, Municipal Health Officer, highlighted the crucial role of Barangay Health Workers in safeguarding or provide health care to our community, To Mr. Japhet Musico & Team, Relief International, his presence and expertise provided valuable guidance and support to the participants. To Ms. Jeannebeb P. San Felix, Nurse III and Ms. Pamela Ann Abia, Nurse II, their team’s dedication and effort to the program’s has played a crucial role in its success, benefiting both the participants and the community at large. Our Barangay Health Workers play an important role in our daily lives and provide knowledge how to protect ourselves.This training program is a testament to our unwavering belief in the power of community health. We’ve gathered together to equip our BHWs with the latest knowledge, skills, and resources to better serve our community.
The Three-days event was designed to strengthen the protection of children across various barangays by equipping local leaders with the necessary knowledge and skills.This training is just the beginning. We are confident that our BHWs, armed with newfound knowledge and skills, will continue to be the driving force behind positive health changes in our community.
