The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office together with the Municipal of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office actively organize the Evacuation Camp Management Plan, held at Tapaz Reception Hall, on December 11, 2024.
This intensive meeting equipped the participants with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively manage evacuation centers and ensure the safety, security, and dignity of displaced individuals during emergencies.
The event was facilitated by MSWDO headed Ma’am Josie G. Cambel RS, MSSW and the MDRRMO representatives and teams. Their initiative in organizing such workshops is invaluable in equipping communities with the necessary skills to manage emergencies effectively. The knowledge and skills gained from this workshop are vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of the residents during disasters.

The effectiveness of the meeting was significantly enhanced by the participants’ active engagement in meaningful discussions. The comprehensive discussions encompassed risk assessment, identification of pick-up points and safe areas, development of evacuation routes and maps, and detailed planning for evacuation and camp coordination, as well as the Camp Management Plan.
The workshop provides practical training on creating clear and efficient evacuation routes, identifying safe areas, and developing effective communication strategies. This initiative not only enhances community resilience but also fosters a sense of preparedness and cooperation among residents, ultimately contributing to a safer and more resilient community.
