The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Tapaz, led by Election Officer Cristina Mercado, conducted a briefing for candidates in the upcoming elections and campaign period.
Held today, the briefing was attended by Mayor Roberto Palomar, municipal officials, and aspiring candidates, aiming to ensure adherence to electoral guidelines and fair campaign practices.
Atty. Wil S. Arceรฑo, Assistant Regional Election Director of COMELEC Region VI, served as the resource speaker, providing insights on election policies, candidate responsibilities, and campaign regulations.
Also delivering key messages were PCPT Jobert T. Delos Reyes, Officer-in-Charge of Tapaz Municipal Police Station, and MAJ Celestino C. Boncales Jr., Operations Officer of the 121st Infantry Battalion, emphasizing the importance of peace and order throughout the election process.
An open forum followed, allowing candidates to raise concerns and clarify election-related matters, ensuring a transparent and well-informed electoral process in Tapaz.
