The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), led by Josie Cambel, facilitated a Psychosocial Processing Activity and Mental Health Awareness Program for the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) Active Auxiliary (CAA) Patrol Base in Tapaz.
The program aimed to promote mental well-being and resilience among CAA members, equipping them with coping strategies to manage stress and emotional challenges. Resource speakers from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Robert Paul Joseph Eclar and CPT. Herald Dutch Magon, Commanding Officer, Delta Company provided insightful discussions on mental health awareness, stress management, and psychological first aid.
Honorable Mayor Roberto Palomar graced the event, emphasizing the importance of mental health support for frontline personnel in ensuring both personal well-being and operational effectiveness.
The initiative reflects the LGU Tapazโs commitment to holistic welfare programs for its uniformed personnel, ensuring they receive adequate psychosocial support to perform their duties effectively.
